Using stories to rebuild, restore, and renew lives
Welcome to my author website and blog! I am excited to see you and share a little about my lifelong dream to write and encourage others through the craft of storytelling.
I spent the majority of my elementary and teen years in the Sierra Nevada Foothills. By the time I was eleven years old, I knew I wanted to be a writer. Looking back, I can see how God gave me the desire to write as an outlet to work through the pains and challenges I faced growing up as the oldest sibling in a single-parent home.
As a mother of five (2 older teens, 3 young adults and growing as I include two son-in-laws, and two grandchildren at the time I last updated this page) — my life continues to present challenges that demand never-ending perseverance in order to achieve my writing goals. However, I firmly believe writing is my ultimate calling and I strive toward that end.
Many years ago, I received a prompting during a Bible study. The words of Isaiah 61:4 resonated as a promise of what I could achieve through my writing and through my marriage if I did not give up.
“They will rebuild the ancient ruins and restore the places long devastated; they will renew the ruined cities that have been devastated for generations.”
Today, I see the current and future stories God has laid on my heart as the foundation of achieving this in even the smallest measure. As my readers explore the true themes woven throughout my fiction stories and personal testimonies, I pray they will find hope and allow God to show them the way to rebuild, restore, and renew their families, their dreams, and their purpose for living.
Enjoy. Be inspired. Be blessed. And never give up!
