More Christmas Quotes

I have this great book full of inspirational quotes. Sometimes I use quotes from it as a prologue of sorts to open chapters for my book projects.

There are about seven pages of quotes about Christmas, but here are just a few of my favorites…

Christmas is a time for “giving up” sin, bad habits, and selfish pleasures. Christmas is a time for “giving in” surrender to Christ, acceptance of Him as King. Christmas is a time for “giving out” real giving, not swapping. ~Anonymous

The universal joy of Christmas is certainly wonderful. We ring the bells when princes are born, or toll a mournful dirge when great men pass away. Only Jesus of Nazareth claims this world wide, undying remembrance. You cannot cut Christmas out of the calendar, nor out of the heart of the world. ~Anonymous

The world is large and complex, and sometimes there seems to be no sacred ground. But in tent and palace, in adobe hut and castle, in barrack prison and under lighted trees across the land, the language of Christmas is universal. ~ Marcus Bach, “Weekly Unity”

Here is to not only recognizing the reason for the season, but to focusing on the joy of giving from our hearts; traditions that warm us with fond childhood memories; and forgetting political correctness if only for a moment so that we can experience the magic of Christmas without offense. ~Roanne King
